Shemoon didn’t start with a client. It started with a role.
Shemoon was founded by Cynthia Heywood-Beldon, an ICF-credentialed leadership coach, keynote speaker and experienced workshop facilitator. She has been in leadership for over 15 years, including senior leadership roles at a global technology company.
Trained in a number of the world’s best-known psychometric assessments, she has spent years coaching leaders, teams and individuals, and building deep experience in leadership and brand development.
It began with a role that quietly asked her to show up as someone she wasn’t: in the feedback, and in which styles were rewarded and which were “developed”.
Years of real-life and professional experience followed: studying patterns and behaviour, and working through most of the well-established psychometric assessments. Still, something was missing. Most of those tools share the same starting assumption: that there is something to fix. A gap to close, a weakness to manage, a version of you that needs correcting before you’re ready to lead.
Shemoon starts somewhere else. It doesn’t try to fix you. It reveals you, and celebrates what it finds.
The real tension was never authenticity versus professionalism. It was harder than that: how do you show up as yourself while staying genuinely aligned with your business’s priorities and the responsibilities of your role? Not performing confidence, but actually having it, because what people are seeing is real.
Reconnecting with who you are isn’t a soft add-on to leadership. It’s the most powerful tool you have for doing it well.
After years of seeing the same gap in her clients, and living it herself, Cynthia built the tool she had always been looking for.

Why “Shemoon”?
